- Carbon Dioxide
- (CO2), a gas (at room temperature) produced by combustion, respiration, or outgassing from certain materials; outside air concentration is typically low (0.04%). Carbon dioxide is a surrogate for indoor pollutants that may cause occupants to grow drowsy, get headaches, or function at lower activity levels; ASHRAE recommends that indoor CO2 levels not exceed 0.1% or 1000 ppm.
