1) a multi-core microprocessor contains two or more independent processors in a single package and supports some parallel processing; 2) magnetic core memory is an older RAM technology replaced by faster semiconductor memories; 3) ‘core dump’ is an unformatted copy of memory contents; 4) building core the area with the elevators, stairs, bathrooms, shafts and risers typically located at the center of the building; 5) core network is the higher speed backbone connections as contrasted to the edge network.
