Hot and Cold Aisles

Hot and Cold Aisles
a data center layout technique designed to increase equipment cooling effectiveness by arranging cabinets and racks in an alternating pattern with fronts facing for a cool aisle and backs facing for a hot aisle. This minimizes the extent to which the hot exhaust air from one cabinet becomes the intake air for other cabinets.
