Hydrofluorocarbons

Hydrofluorocarbons
(HFC), compounds consisting of hydrogen, fluorine, and carbon that are being used as replacements for Chlorofluorocarbons because they do not contain chlorine or bromine and do not deplete the ozone layer. See the HFC classification in Fig. 3: Chemical Refrigerants.
