Port
1) a hardware port is a connecting point or jack; 2) a networking port is a sub-address that may be associated with a specific application or usage, for example TCP protocol associates port 80 with HTTP Web access; 3) to port software is the process of converting and testing software in a different environment (or a different version of the same platform), for example porting a Linux program to Microsoft Windows.
